To understand the history of Jamu Iboe, you must first understand
the harmonious and loving relationship between a mother and her
child. You must first acknowledge that a child can't be happy or
grow healthy without proper attention, loving care, affection, and
devotion from her mother. Such was the relationship of the original
founders of Jamu Iboe, Siem Tjiong Nio and her mother Tan Swan Nio.
The name Jamu Iboe, roughly translated as "mother's medicine",
was the name given to the company, established in 1910, by Siem
Tjiong Nio in dedication for her mother.
Jamu Iboe is committed to producing only the highest
quality Jamu products. Supported by over 200 dedicated professional
human resources, PT Jamu Iboe has developed Jamu products aimed
at enhancing the quality of life and health for all segments of
the Indonesian population.
Our logo, the green leaf, serves well as part of
our corporate identity since it symbolizes life and is a reminder
of Jamu Iboe's promise to use only 100% natural ingredients in all
of our products.
Mission and Vision
Jamu Iboe's mission is to perpetuate and continue
to develop Indonesia's ancestral tradition of using herbal remedies
to enhance human life and to offer these products to countries around
the world. While we have modernized and improved on many of these
traditional remedies, the belief that natural is better than synthetic
will continue to be one our core beliefs. We will always offer only
quality products, held to the highest standards, and guarantee them
to be safe and reliable.
